Traffic Violations

Respected Bergen County New Jersey Criminal Defense Lawyers

Most people do not think of traffic violations as serious. Too many people pay a ticket without evaluating the future consequences of their actions. At Aretsky Law Group, P.C., in Bergen County, New Jersey, we have significant experience helping people minimize the points on their drivers’ license by fighting moving violations.

Experienced Traffic Lawyers

While it takes twelve points to incur a driver’s license suspension, a surcharge of $150 to $1,000 can be assess to people that have only six points on their driving record. This includes out of state offenses. Six points can be accumulated with as few as two traffic violations. Driver’s license points are permanent. However, for each year where there are no traffic violations, three points are deducted from a driver’s record.

Our traffic lawyers can mount an aggressive traffic ticket defense to help our clients avoid incurring points on their driving record. We have successfully represented hundreds of clients charged with a wide variety of traffic violations:

  • Speeding
  • Reckless driving
  • Careless driving
  • Passing a school bus
  • Running a stop sign
  • Failure to stop for a traffic light
  • Racing on a highway

We have also handled case involving the special assessments on the New Jersey Turnpike, Garden State Parkway, and Atlantic City Expressway. Our firm has represented a number of commercial drivers that have received moving violations while on the job, as well as while driving personal vehicles. We are committed to working to help our clients maintain their driver’s license and avoid the fines and surcharges associated with accumulated points.
