The buying and selling of a home involves several steps:

Only contracts crafted by a New Jersey realtor are required by New Jersey law to include a provision for attorney review. If you are not working with a New Jersey realtor, it is important that you hire an experienced New Jersey real estate lawyer to create or review your agreement before you sign. Once you do sign, the contract will be binding.

Once the buyer and seller have agreed to a price, the contract has gone through attorney review, the buyer has secured a mortgage commitment, the house has been inspected, and the certificate of occupancy has been granted, the final step is the closing.
